Project description
FIGURE project aims two main targets; human upper body gesture recognition and environmental 3D sensing; both prioritizes social benefits of computer vision technologies while creating more accurate, reliable, robust, hence, more competitive applications with the help of the three dimensional visual sensing capable devices. In upper body recognition; gesture recognition, sign language detection, head movement and facial expressions and serious gaming subjects are the major topics to be contributed. In addition to these, 3D visual sensing aims to utilise detecting people flow, smart building, surveillance and traffic management applications.
