Fortiss

Description

Fortiss (www.fortiss.org) is a non-profit research and development organization founded as a spin-off and associated with Technische Universität München (TUM) in 2009, under sponsorship of the Bavarian Ministery for Economics, Transport, Infra Structure and Technology. The associates of fortiss are the Technische Universität München, Fraunhofer Association and the state-owned LfA Förderbank Bayern. Scientific directors of fortiss are Prof. Dr. Manfred Broy, Prof. Dr. Alois Knoll and Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar. fortiss acts as a research and transfer institute in the field of software and systems engineering for the TUM, which has earned an outstanding international reputation that is apparent from research collaborations with more than 140 partner universities and its involvement in 119 FP6 projects, 420 projects financed by the German Federal Ministry of Science and in 17 special research programs financed by the German Research Association (DFG).
