Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts is an academic institution with 7,300 students and more than 200 professors. It has seven faculties. The faculty of computer science and the faculty of information technology & electrical engineering are contributing to this project.
At Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, a research platform focusing of embedded and software intensive systems exists. This is driven by the interdisciplinary PIMES (Process Improvement for Mechatronic and Embedded Systems) research center. The research focus is on methodology and tools for the development of embedded and software intensive systems. The PIM ES research center involves four scientist interested in model driven software development for multi-core embedded systems and in open source tool chains.
