Positive funding message for Dutch ITEA 2 partners

In April, the ITEA 2 Office received good news from the Dutch funding agency Agentschap NL on the funding situation in the Netherlands. The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation gave its confirmation for available funding for EUREKA Cluster projects in 2012.

For ITEA 2 projects, this means:

• For projects which have been submitted and labelled in 2010 and 2011 (Call 5 and 6), 18 million Euro has been made available for EUREKA Clusters (ITEA 2: 13 m€, CATRENE: 5 m€) in 2012. Agentschap NL will soon start a funding tender to which Dutch ITEA 2 project partners can apply.
• For projects which have been submitted in 2012 (Call 7) and for future calls, the funding outlook is also positive.

Within ITEA 2 the cooperation between Industry and Public Authorities has always been valuable and Dutch partners have always played a major role in the ITEA and ITEA 2 programmes. These positive funding messages support and stimulate a continued strong participation of Dutch partners in ITEA 2 to the benefit of our projects, community and European leadership position in the area of software-intensive systems and services.
