ITEA 2 Symposium 2007 Berlin

The ITEA 2 Symposium 2007 was very successful. More than 450 visitors attended ITEA 2's 2007 Symposium which was held in the Berliner Congress Center in Berlin, Germany from 18-19 October, 2007.

The theme of this year’s symposium was 'Using ICT to deal with major societal challenges'.

The symposium programme was scheduled around this overall theme. On Thursday, our executive team presented programme achievements, progress to date and looked ahead. On Friday, presentations included industrial and political viewpoints on the symposium theme and the role of ITEA 2.

At the symposium exhibition, team members working on 45 ITEA projects and no less than 22 non-ITEA booths demonstrated the impact of their work, many of them with real life demos.

The overall impression of the symposium was that it was a lively event with ample opportunity for international networking between industry and public authorities. ITEA 2 has confirmed its position as a key contributor to successful innovation in software-intensive systems and services and its role in the creation of successful innovation partnerships, particularly those involving small and medium-sized enterprises.
